RIVERSIDE

RIVERSIDE

by AUGERI / HOLLAND / PULLMAN

Now these four walls, they look the same
As they did back then
When they did back when
Before we danced
You know they haven’t changed a thing

And these windows could sure use a good cleanin’
You can’t tell the night from the day
Lookin’ in or out
Unless you look a certain way

I’m lookin’ back on the times when we made love
It wasn’t all that long ago
I could see it in your eyes
They’re the windows of your soul

Down by the riverside
Everybody’s welcome
Down by the riverside
We can be ourselves
Down by the river
With a song in your heart
Without a care
Down by the river

Now this damn road seems endless
Take it up or down
Ride it in or out
North or South
Swear we’ve been on it for days

And no matter how far you take it
If your heart don’t feel
You’re just spinnin’ wheels
You got to go a different way

I’m thinkin’ back to the times when we made love
It wasn’t all that long ago
Yeah, I could see it in your eyes
They’re the windows of your soul

Down by the riverside
Everybody’s welcome
Down by the riverside
We can be ourselves
Down by the river
With a song in your heart
They’ll be love in the air
Down by the river

It’s ebb and flow
It’s current slows with time
What we didn’t know
We left it up to love

Whoa Yeah!
Whoa Yeah!
Whoa Yeah!
Hey, Hey, Hey , Hey…

Down by the riverside
Everybody’s welcome
Down by the riverside
We can be ourselves
Down by the river
With a song in your heart
Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey

Down by the riverside
Whoa Yeah
Down by the riverside
Whoa Yeah
Down by the river

With a song in your heart
They’ll be love in the air
Yeah, Yeah, Whoa
With a song in your heart
We’ll make love over there…
Yeah, Down by the river

IN THE MOMENT

IN THE MOMENT
by Steve Augeri

I’m always caught in yesterday
Or else I’m dreaming of tomorrow
And just for once I’d like to say
My heart and soul’s right here and now

You’re at the end of my rainbow
If I could just live in the moment
I know that you are ‘cause my heart says it’s so
You’re at the end of my road

There is a time and there’s a place
It doesn’t have to last forever
A memory time can’t erase
Deep in the corners of my mind

You’re at the end of my rainbow
If I could just live in the moment
I know that you are ‘cause my heart says it’s so
You’re at the end of my road

You’re at the end of my rainbow
If I could just live in the moment
I know that you are ‘cause my heart says it’s so
You’re at the end of my road

You’re at the end of my rainbow
You’re at the end of my road

Aaron Dilks

It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to the one and only Aaron Dilks.
I came to know Aaron as Journey’s Tour manager for a number of years. His appearance told only part of the story, the part that if the situation would arise, it would have been dealt with … and swiftly. The other side of this man was that of a funny, warm, caring “Teddy Bear” that was absolutely over the moon about his daughter and the profession in which he loved to work. And if you really knew Aaron there was his adoration for his dog:-)

As fate would have it, I had just reconnected with Aaron but a mere two weeks ago and was so looking forward to hearing that Baltimore accent again and see him smile that wry smile that only Aaron could smile. I’ll miss the way he made me feel like his little brother rather than the other way around. Coincidentally I heard of his passing on the runway flying out of O’Hara in Chicago, the city where he not only put us up in the chicest boutique hotel but also turned us on to the finest sushi in town. Coolmotherfucker:-)…, always.

Good-bye Double AA.
Good-bye my friend.

My most sincerest condolences to the Dilks family.

P.S. Your Broad Street Bullies are still a bunch of pussies!
